Giant Solomon’s Seal

Giant Solomon’s Seal

Polygonatum Canaliculatum

Giant Solomon’s Seal is a larger variety of Solomon’s Seal (Polygonatum biflorum), with larger flowers and more flowers per cluster. The gracefully arching stems lend a strong architectural element to the prairie garden or meadow with flowers appearing in May or June.  This plant grows between two and four feet tall on any well-drained soil, from rich sand to loam and clay.
Seeds are double-dormant and often require two years after planting to germinate, but well worth the wait!
