Partnership
Flint Creek Watershed Partnership’s goal is to educate while building partnerships for projects to improve water quality, reduce flooding, as well as preserve and restore wetlands, prairies and other natural features for future generations. Funding for the Flint Creek Watershed-Based Plan was provided, in part, by the Governor of Illinois and the Illinois Environment Protection Agency through Section 319 of the Clean Water Act.
Goals:
- Protect water resources and enhance water quality
- Protect natural areas and open space
- Reduce flooding
- Improve habitat
- Increase coordination among stakeholders
- Enhance stewardship and education
