Common Lake Sedge

Carex Lacustris

Common Lake sedge is rhizomatous.  That means that it can spread aggressively and therefore may not be suitable for small landscape plantings but can be a wonderful wetland restoration sedge. It grows best during the spring and fall when it is cool outside.
