Common Arrowhead

Sagittaria Latifolia

Common Arrowhead is found in very wet soils.  Attractive white flowers emerge mid to late summer.  Another common name that is attributed to this species is Duck Potato.  The tuberous root is edible to wildlife and has traditionally been eaten by Native Americans.
