Bringing Nature Home

February 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Bringing Nature Home: A presentation on the important role native plants can play in home landscapes.

Free and open to the public.  No registration necessary.

Ever wonder how to bring native wildflowers, grasses, trees and shrubs into your yard? Please join us for a free community presentation featuring Dave Eubanks. Dave is a landscape designer who works with many landowners who desire the beauty and function of native plants. He will explain the differences between prairie, woodland, and wetland plants, which each have certain requirements. Learn about where native plants can be purchased and how to maintain native gardens. Ask questions specific to your yard. We also will be introducing our Conservation@Home program.

Our speaker will be Environmental Restoration Specialist David Eubanks, who has experience in ecological restoration with Openlands, Forest Preserves of Cook County, the City of Chicago, and Lincoln Park Conservancy.  Take advantage of this opportunity to learn from Dave and his years of experience in restoring the natural areas throughout Chicagoland.
