Ninety Barrington Area residents gathered at the beautiful Barrington Hills Sanfilippo family polo field for an evening cocktail reception honoring the generous donors for the Barrington Area Conservation Trust (BACT).

The thank-you event was generously sponsored by UBS, The Klaas group. Barrington’s own Region restaurant, Dave and Jillian Perlick prepared sumptuous appetizers enjoyed by all. Jim Sanfilippo spoke and explained what BACT has meant to him and his family followed with a few words by new board president Bryan Croll.

The Teens4Greens high school student volunteers also gave a short presentation on why they joined BACT in its conservation efforts. It was a beautiful event that brought conservation-minded community members together to enjoy just one of the many open spaces that make the Barrington area unique and special.
